Health Tip : Diet Low Salt

Low-salt diet goal is to help eliminate the accumulation of salt and water , also helps lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients who are sensitive to salt . The following article will explain what foods are allowed , what things are important to consider , types of foods that should be avoided ; also other tips that low-salt diet was successfully executed :


Things that should be considered :
  • Salt in question in this case is sodium ( Na ) found naturally in certain foods or added during processing
  • Animal foods which tend to have higher levels of Na than plant foods
  • Sodium salt added during food processing , for example, salt ( sodium chloride ) , MSG ( mono sodium glutamate ) , preservatives fruit or baking soda ( sodium bicarbonate )
Foods to avoid :
  • Bread , biscuits and cakes in the kitchen and if the salt or soda
  • Brain , kidney , tongue , cheese
  • Foods preserved with salt such as beef jerky , shredded , corned beef , salami , ham , anchovies , boiled fish , sardines , dried shrimp , salted egg , cheese , butter and margarine
  • Fruits and vegetables are preserved with salt , such as canned vegetables , mustard sauce , pickles , pickles etc.
  • Engandung spices such as sodium salt , baking soda , baking powder , soy sauce , shrimp paste , MSG , paste and tauco
Foods should be restricted :
  • Meat and fish , a maximum of 100 grams a day
